![]() Oh sure, scare people off!!!
I think 1 mL of RowaPhos is about 1 gram. If that is right then the BRS HC GFO 453g for $39 is close to the RowaPhos 500mL for $45. PLUS, once you've ordered 3 times and done 3 product reviews for BRS you become a Preferred Customer, and the prices go down. ![]() |

![]() Rowaphos sells on J&L for $76.95 for 1 L plus tax which would make it 76.95+9.24= $86.19
Bulk Reef Supply High Capacity Granular Ferric Oxide sells for $360 USD for 16 lbs. You could buy more than that or less than that also but for me I'd probably go with 16 lbs at a time. Now if we go through the checkout at Bulk Reef Supply: tax to cover the duties and brokerage fees is 15% plus $40.94 for shipping will give us $454.94 USD. Converting that to CAD with todays exchange would be $564.58 CAD for 16 lbs Now to make them both the same units... 16 lbs is 7.3 kg so we can divide $564.58 by 7.3 and we get $77.34 for 1 L BRS HGFO $77.34 Rowaphos $86.19 However rowaphos can also be purchased for +/- $300 for 5 kg from J&L but its not listed on their website. My guess is that after you gain a little more cost savings by purchasing the 5 kg of rowaphos the prices will be even closer. I've stocked up on enough Rowaphos during J&Ls boxing day sale to last me at least a year but I'm curious to maybe try the BRS stuff next year.
