I would stay away from lava rock. I hear that it can leech impurities

I would aso stay away from Tufa, it traps detritus and can become a cyano factory very quickly.

Thanks for the suggestions and warnings about certain types of rock! Think I'll be checking into the Caribsea and the "Bulk Reef Supply" rock, and take it from there.
