My amazingly cheap price was a 'special' from Westjet. They talked me into buying early to take advantage of the 'special' prices - $89 each way per person & then all the taxes on top made it just over $600

Haha. No, I meant $400 for ONE ticket! I can't find anything close to $300 for one person Calgary-Vancouver round trip.

If you book to Toronto early enough you can usually get a fight for $500-$600 round trip. However if you have to book a fight with less then a weeks notice (like I did last year) it will cost about $1000-$1100

It's the flying anywhere north that kills me.

$956 Edmonton to High Level return and can push close to $2k if going to Inuvik and the plane is nearly always full. At least the Queen picks up my tab.
