Macro Algae for SPS Display Tank?

The tend to do better under 6500k-10,000K but I was told they would still grow. I run a 14,000 K bulb as well. Don't know about the flow but I would think as long as they don't rip around the tank that they should be fine as well.
I have not seen a lot of variety around though. Most of the time you would have some starter culture on the rock to start with.
I am on the hunt for some as well for my refugium.
Maybe we can trade some different kinds later.

As far as what I would think Halimeda, Rhodophyte, Ochtodes, Acetabularia, and Padina. would be some good choices.
Not sure where you would find them though.

I would be cautious, macro algae can spread rapidly and could root itself in the rock withing an SPS colony which sucks to deal with. I don't think it's a good idea for an SPS tank.

There's got to be something that will sit there all pretty in the flow but wont grow out of control?

I'm guessing stay away from Caulerpa family!

Sounds good but Princess would never countenance an algae that looks like a shaving brush!
