The Aquarium and Underwater setting are OK for that quick shot but after a while you will want to get tighter settings.

I have decided to stay with the CANON G9. I tried the Rebel Xis for a couple of days and even though it took great pictures I decided that I was not wanting to commit the dollars necessary to utilize the Rebel to its fullest extent. Camera plus 2 or 3 lens about $2400.

The Canon G9 takes compurail pictures in both JPEG and RAW with a lot more automation for $500. Closeups will be the biggest challenge.

It's not so much how to use your camera, but specifically how to use it to take photos of aquariums and fish.

.
That's held online?? awesome! I'll have to look into that, it's a pain not living in Vancouver.

Good to know! Can you get different lenses (macro) for it as well?

There are lens adapters available from Canon, however a lot of people on RC refer to this site for lens adapters for both the Canon G9 and the S5is
