I have the same unit and never had a leak problem with it. Mind you all the JG fittings have a lot of teflon tape on them.
Maybe the design has changed

Yah I heard the older ones didnt leak as much. These newer ones are suppose to be worse for it...

For some reason my DI has started leaking at the cap. I'm going to try some teflon tape or plumbers putty to see if I can stop it.

The new ones use o-rings but they always leak, just use a whole whack of Teflon and you'll be good, just don't crack the fittings, I think that's the reasoning for the change.
