Shao, I think at worst you might have to move it off center. Make sure you get to the Island for the tour and you can put your hand in front of one :P

And the 6080 @ 2200gph.

The flow is pretty gentle as it spreads out. Thats the neat thing about it. Still lots of flow but not abrasive. The pump can rotate its angle on the bracket, so you can adjust the current some and have it not direct on the colt.

Its tough to get the water movement right, I have a Rio 2500 for returning water from my sump, I have two Rio 1100s connected to 1/2inch PVC behind my LR and coming out the bottom to keep things stirred up below the rock, and I have two Hagen Pro 4 power heads moving water, all total I think I have about 2000gph moving, some are on a wave maker some are not. I would love to have all my money back and just have two that do it all... Oh well I'd like to win the lotto too.

Ohhhhhh, to have money back to do it over. I only wish also. I sometimes look at my pair of Tunze pumps and thing, hmmmmm, $250 powerheads, ay.

I sold a pair of Mak 4 pumps to be able to buy them. Then what do I do yesterday. Buy another Mak 4 to drive a new beckett skimmer. Still lookin for things to sell to pay for that.

On a side note,
The stream pumps are well worth it, as long as they last of course, which I dont anticipate being a problem as they are Tunze equipment.

I know, like I say I build a water distribution network or "thing" for short under my live rock, powered by the two Rio 1100s it works.... not bad.. keeps stuff off the bottom but my main concern was to try to keep stuff off the bottom under the live rock. However, I look at the tank almost every night about 30 minutes after lights out. Anything that is behind that live rock gets consumed in no time. Between the pods, bristle worms, snails, and unknown stuff... one of which I think is a peanut worm nothing lasts the night.
If I had my $$ back..... I would have kept my other Aquaclear 500, I would have ISOLATED my new fish, I would have gone for the 5ft long 108 and had it drilled, I would have drilled my refugium so the water depth was deeper but thats easy to fix, just patch up the acrylic tank.
