You'd have a lot of darkness on either side with a 4' fixture over a 6' tank.

With appropriate bulb selection and cooling fans added, SPS would be do-able with a tek 6x54W, but I'd recommend against getting it for your tank since it will look odd.

Don't cheap out - save up the $ to do things properly the first time or you'll end up spending more in the long run.
