If it's Fedex, all parcels go through their main station in Mn, then shipped worlwide after. Doesn't make sense sometimes, but it works for them.

It's UPS and it came from Mn, went to Richmond (Canada) and then went back down to Spokane

Hi Marie

First off they have no idea where Powell River is.

Second to justify the rates they charge it has to cross the border 2 or 3 times and stay in their warehouse a couple of days.

you'll be happy with it when you get it.The thing that i didn't like was the 59.95 turned into almost 150.

Worst part is, they'll probably ding you twice for the GST and duty charges.

Maybe its a secret plot by the americans to try to devalue our dollar. They figure if they can't get what they used to..just do it twice and charge for it....

Yup, exactly. I get Whacked with insane UPS bills at times. I have literally BLOWN up on the phone. Heck, a 10Lb box, of NAFTA applicable goods(Powder coating) Net value, $70US. They billing me $106CDN for shipping. 1 week+ shipping, not overnight. Can you belive it?
