I told this was going to be slow moving! lol

The cabinets should be in town this coming week, then I have to wait for install. I have started to prep for install now.

First coat of mold/mildew resistint paint:


Bubble Master 250 breaking in:


Water change station:


RO/DI


Two of my pendants, return pump, closed loop pump, and the second chamber from my calcium reactor..


Exhaust fan wired to a humidistat:



Next step after paint this afternoon is to pull the carpet back then install a rubber baseboard along the wall to prevent water from wicking into the drywall should I have a spill.

As for the big tank..I've got my electrical figured out.. I'm running three new circuits to the tank today.

Great thread, it looks like it will be a really nice build when you are done...

Could you maybe expand on your water change station? How will you get water to the tank?

I haven't got all the details worked out yet. But the plan is to tee off my return line to pump water from the tank and to pump water to the tank via the pump you see in the picture, I'm not sure at this point if that pump will be strong enough to move the water seven feet up then 40 feet vertical.

I finally got delivery and install dates for the cabinets.. It all should be completed May.13!

Then I get to start on the fun stuff!

looking good so far. That stand is metal i'm sure. where did you find out how to wire a exhaust fan to a humisat?What parts are needed ? I would like to rig something like this into a room as well.

Hey, sorry I missed this post, it's about the same as wiring in a light switch. You should be able to pick up everything you need from Home Depot. fan, wiring, humidistat.
