Regal Tangs can be very timid for awhile in a new tank. Mine didn't come out from hiding for a few days either. Took about 2 weeks before he calmed down enough that he didn't hide every time i approached the tank. If your tank is well-established, he's probably eating some algae in his hiding spot. Give him a while longer before you need to worry.

ok nevermind...after closing looking at my tank i decided to check the back jus incase if it jumped and there it was dried up on the floor RIP. I dont think I'll ever get any blue tangs ever.

I would suggest low oxygenation...
