Can get 2x4's as low as $1.09 at totem...

really i'll look into that. does anyone know where to get cinder blocks and how much they are?

You can get cinder blocks in any home improvement store...rona, home depot, totem...i've seen the price range from 99 cents a per block to 5 bucks a block.

A building construction site Sometimes the guys will just let you have them. Otherwise i would say home depot simply because of their purchasing power.

I hate to be the one to say it but if you need to save the $4 on building materials for your stand you might be in the wrong hobby.
