Think I will go purchase 6 bags of Geo Marine crushed coral and install a proper plenum system in my 90 and just keep my T-5,s.

Thats still the likely direction Tony. I have, however, read more threads where several have switched from them to 250,s and a higher colour temp. to get more blue.

I started out with 150's. Although they were enough to keep things alive, coral growth and vigour was limited to say the least.

I then decided to go for the gusto and get 400's. After buying a dual 400 PFO fixture, I thought about it some more, and decided the 400's were overkill, and bought 2 - 250 Hamiltons. Brought them home, plugged them in, took a look at the tank. Unplugged them and put them in a box.

The 400's are there to stay until something better comes along.

so your saying that you want a nice fixture of T-5's

i have a 8 bulb fixture and its alot of lighting to. I have alot of growth , the key is the bulbs that you put in the fixutre and having the indivdual reflectors makes a huge difference too.

24x24x18" high...with sps corals. I'd go 250w. Well, actually I'd go 400w mogul, but that's just me. LOL!
