![]() Hello,
I have never seen a coral spawn until yesterday. Pink balls rolling around my tank. I had no choice but to dispose of the pink balls -- they were causing problems for my snails and my xenia (snails were sort of dying and xenia wasn't pulsing). Tonight, I just finished a 75% water change...corals are all fine now. I suspect my two torch corals are the parents. I was wondering if anybody has successfully breeded corals in this manner ? - Victor. |

![]() The red balls you saw were eggs. I've had a frogspawn do this. You'd need to have noticed smokey white sperm as well to have any chance of having them survive. For what it is worth I don't think anyone anywhere has had success with raising corals from sexual reproduction. On the bright side it probably means your tank is doing well.
