![]() Can appropriate NO or PC bulbs (I have only found a maximum of 5,000K (NO) at Home Depot) be sourced for a lower price than the local LFS (such as J&L)? I am looking for 36" in particular. Any help is appreciated.

![]() I have been running 36" no's for 5 years now and J&L is the cheapest I have found for aquarium tubes. As for home depot tubes- I would not trust the spectrum unless for example it's a phillips T3 acttinic. Daylight tubes are always better rated when you buy an aquarium brand tube.
Just my two cents ![]()

![]() Al-Brite in coquitlam sells tubes cheaper than anyone. 03 actinics are about $11 for a 36inch... well they were last time I needed them. I know the 48 inch ones are $14 as of last week, and yes they are even the Philips brand. They also sell daylight tubes very cheap.
