Exactly that, it's worked for me in the past.
And like christy said, it also increases the amount of kalk you can dissolve in the RO water and kalk has been thought to help precipitate out phosphates

If its not one thing, its another, hydroids are taking over .

I think Its safe to say that a healthy, nonstressed sps can fight off a lot of things because now that they are stressed, hydroids are taking things down a polyp at a time.
