![]() It increases the solubility of kalk. Hmm I'm not sure if that sounds right. It increases the amount of kalk that can be mixed with water and still stay clear in the water. I know theres a better word for that but that will have to do, my brain is still foggy this am.

![]() Not 100% sure about this but I think I've read that in addition to increasing the solubility of kalk (ie. getting more kalk into your system), it is a carbon source - which is basically the foundation of things like sugar dosing, vodka dosing (which is in the same vector as things like zeovit, ultralith, polyplaps, etc.) - fuel for more bacteria to do their thing thus reducing the nutrient load.
Something like that anyhow.
