stanley park lets their pea fowl run all over the park. very peaceful birds from what ive seen but it might well just be that they are domesticated by now. It may be prudent to call animal control, but honestly, like kabong said, it's basically a big chicken and very unlikely to pose any threat at all. an interesting garden addition for sure!

Keep in mind they are big birds so their poop is proportionately bigger and while they do help keep the slugs and bugs down in the garden they also can damage the plants big time (if you're a gardener).
They are quite docile but the males can be noisy and they like to look at their reflections in glass so if there is also a male around be prepared to keep your vehicle under cover

Thanks for the responses. I think it's definitely an interesting and unique addition to our garden and I'd like to let it stay until it decides to leave on its own.

Well I found an add in the classifieds for a missing peahen and the owner has asked me to feed if for a couple days then he will come and get it. Apparently he lost it a few weeks ago and chased it around Abbotsford city hall and couldn't catch it. Hopefully we can get this mans pet back to him successfully now.
