![]() Where's all the corraline algae? All the rocks are completely bare. It looks like...well just plain old rocks, not really a reef at all

![]() I noticed that too, Marie!
A really beautiful tank, though. Obviously the corals are healthy and thriving. But the colours did seem somewhat muted/pastel. |

![]() That is bizarre - not a speck of coraline in there.
![]() The only thing I can think of is that given good conditions, SPS will outperform coraline on Ca and Alk usage .. so maybe the coraline can't get a foothold. Add a couple urchins in there that eat coraline, maybe the urchins just have the upper hand on the coraline? I have to say though ... "BAM!" on that showcase tank. Beautiful aquascaping.

![]() I don't get much coraline in my tank either. Combination of high demanding corals with bright light.

![]() What lights do you use again? I have 250w DE 10k xm MH's and I have coralline out the wazoo. I spent all day sunday soaking my tunze streams in vinegar because the coralline completely blocked the flow on the upper side and they were cleaned less then 6 months ago
