I bought a red sea max primarily because of the look and convinience. I was also considering the Nanocube28 which has better lighting but much prefered the look of the RSM. The lines on the tank fit in nicely with the style of our house. I like the rounded front corners on the glass.

The price was a bit higher than building up a system from scratch but I don't think it's outragous. By the time you buy a stand, tank, hood, lighting, heater, timer, powerheads fan ... you are getting close to the RSM price.

I don't need to worry about the ambient temperature because we have air conditioning in the house.

Hi Brent,

Good that you're enjoying your RSM.

What are you keeping in it? How long has it been up & running? if you don't mind my asking...

I just bought it a week ago so haven't set it up yet. So far I have just assembled it and checked it for leaks.
