Serious question:

How do they maintain cleanliness? Do they have enough plants for a pseudo-closed system that is self-sustained?

enough of and the right fertilizer combination ect... will let plants grow but not algae.

Amazing! I love that the fish are birds in the scene....and you know it's totally do-able with a little time, rock, wood and java moss.....hmmm
