untamed: i dont know what the exact thing was. over the past 2 months i did a lot things. replaced mh bulbs. replaced ro filters twice. cleaned all pumps. very wet skimming. syphoning as much of it out as possible every week and the final draw was a complete blackout for about 8 days. i turned the lights on for about 3 hours twice during the eight days. during blackout i syphoned sandbed really good and whatever was remaining on the rocks. i think today is the 4th day and still no signs of it. still keeping my fingers crossed. i'm only doing a 5 hr photoperiod right now to acclimate everything. majority of the remaining pieces have gone a gorgeous brown color. ![]() |

![]() About the only thing we had in common there was the siphoning and the wet skimming. I ran a lot of phosban and carbon. I never changed my bulbs and I didn't reduce the photo period. My only casualties were sponges. Go figure...
