I completely agree with that.....projects were already slowing down months before this and the timing for the royalty review was way off. I think they through it in there quickly before it was too late. But the only way we will get a recession the magnitude of the 80's is if the world market oil prices crash to stupid low amounts again.

My 2 cents.

10 years ago I had no extra $ and no home equity. Thanks to the Oil Industry En-cana, Shell all of them I am now worth something.Ya HOO. Well maybe not as I can't afford to buy anything in Alberta. Now the Alberta Govt. is trying to slow down our economy and forcing investment elsewhere and its working. It looks like I'll have to give "whosinpower" from Saskatoon a call and beg him to help me buy a chunk of dirt ****ing distance from a lake. I'll just sit on it for a few years till an En-cana exec from Alberta offers me a bazillion dollars for it and I can bring it back to Alberta and buy a really big tank with everything. Ya- HOO.
