I never feed krill.

Mostly mysis, pellets, flake, occasional frozen shrimp, I also get a lot of veggies into my trigger. He absolutely loves them, whether it is OSI stickons or Spirulina flake.

He looks bloated ?

Thanx for the condolences.
It looks more bloated in the pic. I didn't notice anything out of ordinary otherwise. I could be wrong, though, and this very well may be a sign that I missed. Someone on another board suggested impacted intestines as a possible cause. I still have it (in the freezer). I'm going to attempt an autopsy later.

Not to be gross...but I would genuinely be interested in seeing posted pictures of the autopsy....especially if you think you've found something.

I've not had a large enough fish to perform an autopsy on, but I've often considered it. I have a dissecting microscope for the job. If any of my current fish die mysteriously like that, I'll certainly be having a good look.

I suppose we should be saying "necropsy". Here's a link I found that discussed what you might see and what it might mean:
