![]() I am going to order my ZEOvit ASAP. Which brand of reactor is everyone using (Grotech, Captive Oceans, Octopus, DIY etc)? Does your reactor have a valve to adjust the flow rate? I think you need to reduce flow initially when starting on a high nutrient system. Any recommendations?
Thanks

![]() I use the Goetech. Yes it has a valve to control flow. I ran it about 1/2 open for the first cycle. Some people put it on a timer and run it 3 hours on then 3 hours off. If you follow this plan ensure that the ZEOlites are continually covered in water. They should not be exposed to air and allowed to dry out.

![]() Jason and Tom:
Just for my clarification are you using the GroTech Zeolith filter ZF110/150 below? ![]() I can't see any value to control flow thru the filter! Where did you get your zeofiliters?

![]() I got my reactor from Hidden Reef. I bought a starter kit for $350. The kit came with the large reactor. It holds 3 litre of ZEOlites.

Does your Zeolithfilter filter look exactly like the picture on my last post? You mention decreasing the flow initially but I don't see a valve on the unit.

![]() The reactor is the same as this. It has a valve that can adjust the flow.
