I would say move your stuff to the basement to minimize the risk and just keep it!!! You are going to end up starting all over down the road!!!

I'd love to, trust me!

In-laws who live there wouldn't be that keen on it

Also - as a note to everyone, I won't part out - I'm sorry I didn't make it clear, but it's all or nothing - I've done too much to part this out into bits and pieces.
