I haven't finished my fuge yet but I am thinking this will work and is easy to work with.

I don't mean to hijack but this question is related to the poster's and might help them out too. Is there an adavantage other than cost in using a low watt MH light (say 150W) over some of the bulbs you buy at Home Depot? Will you experience faster or better growth with a better light or is it overkill? Thanks.

If using for macro, for the growth one can get with a relatively inexpensive PC, don't think a MH is required, plus considering the price for a MH (initial and on-going) probably not the most cost efficient either.

i had a 96w coralife fixture over my reufgium for while but replaced it with a 27 compact flourescent in a clipon fixutre. the high light made my cheato grow super yellow and stringy, replaced the light and it grows nice and green with that tight brillo pad texture.
