Default buttons dont work

I am having trouble with my Profilux plus II.It is brand new and none of the buttons on the controller seem to work!
I can connect to my computer with the R232 connection and program it that way but cannot program it with the buttons on the actual unit.Anyone else have this problem?
I am also finding it rediculously difficult to connect with WLAN.Must you be a computer programer to configure this device?Does anyone have legible step-by-step instructions on how to do this?
Apreciated,

having problems connecting the dosing pumps.

i have to power bars that are daisy changed out of s1-4.

i have connected the dosing pump to the end of the last power bar.

also gone to the socket functions and programe digital power bar and dosing pump.

dosing pump numbers selected as 1-4 as i have a 4 dosing pump unit.

after all this the dosing pumps stay on. i cant turn them off.

any ideas?

any chance that we can copy and paste the screen shots so we can post post them on the forum.

try this.

first get the SSID from your router, to do this you have to go into the router software. i get into mine by putting 10.1.1.1 on the internet explorer bar. wher you would normally put Http//:

go to wireless, you should find the SSID, also make sure that the security of the router says none or off. depends which router you have. i have a Dlink.

Then go to system in the profilux control software.
highlight the WLAN and then go to configuration.

IP setting should be obtain ip automatically

SSID should be teh same as your router.

select adhoc.

press save, if you go back it will show the default settings, dont worry about it.

got to general and select tcp/ip when connect the profilux.

hope that works,

Hello Teejay,

what do you mean with "cannot program it with the buttons on the actual unit"? Do the keys not work? Or don't you know how to operate the unit? If the keys don't work: Maybe while transportation the keyboard got a shock and a key is now clamped. If this would be the case: Open the housing (described in manual) and make sure all keys are free.

WLAN-step by step:
http://www.ghl-kl.de/Produkte/Aquari...AN_new_eng.pdf

This doc does not mention the "automatic IP feature", that means from 3.05 on you need not any more to deal with IPs. I think reef explained in a few easy words exactly what has to be done.

1. Connect controller with RS232 to PC, start ProfiLuxControl
2. Connect over RS232
3. Go to system, select WLAN-card
4. Press "Configuration"
5. Now comes the configuration dialog. Enter the SSID of your home network. CHoose ad hoc if you connect from PC directly to ProfiLux, choose infrastructure if you want to have a connection via your router. Press save.
6. Go to "General", press disconnect.
7. Choose "TCP/IP" under connection. Press connect.

That's it!

If you would have wireless network security enabled (like WPA or WEP) then please refer to the doc i mentioned.
