![]() That's going to involve some tricky plumbing. Right now I'll run the water just under the level where water enters the reaction chamber and see how it foams. If that doesn't work, then a check valve is my only other option.

![]() I'm actually looking at picking up one a new reef octopus skimmer for my new tank.
How's it been for you so far? I have one of the smaller HOB ones and it's fantastic on my 40. |

![]() Skimmer works fairly well. I didn't like the original venturi setup, so I modified mine a bit and it seems to suck in much more air now. The foam it creates is pretty thick, but, unfortunately I need to run the water level a lot higher in the skimmer than I would have liked.
