![]() Don't waste your money. Just save up til you can afford something with a good track record. As far as overrating your skimmer, as long as you pick a good one, it's usually unecessary/a total waste of money and electricity.

I'm not going to say the thing is utter crap; it's fine at the price point, but really, it's something that you'll end up upgrading. Besides, something about the size ratings seems a little off to me. 50 watt pump, no air intake rating, small body diameter (6") for 225 gallon? Hmmmm....
