Just wondering what size tank this could reasonably cover.

Thanks.
I would consider this light more "square" and would most likely be best over a cube. If you had dual lights, then I would put it over a long tank. Buying multiple lights is cool as you can create the dusk/dawk effect by configuring the ACLS to have one light dim and the other dim slightly behind it so that it replicates the sunrise/sunset.

I have it on my 30x30 cube right now but it is mounted considerably low as I don't want any light spilage. I would mount this on a 4' x 4' without any problems, but wouldn't go any bigger.

$1500 is a steal for both the pendant and ACLS ballast. Any takers?

Don't think thats in anyones pocket range lol. I have been looking at AC LS ballasts and they them selfs are very expensive.(aren't they the ones that have the light fading option?)

Doesn't everyone on here have a few K's to spend? lol

Ya the ACLS has the HQI dimming option, very cool. I will try to get some pics up next week of the light dimming.

Last price drop to $1400 for the Pendant and ACLS ballast. I tried taking pics of the dimming last night, I need a tripod (and photography lessons) to be able to accurately display the what the dimming looks like.

Instead, I have a posted a pic of a guy's tank named "Naka" on RC (hope this is okay, he has probably one of the most beautiful tanks I have ever seen) which shows the dual halide dimming feature. One halide is dimming to 20% while the other halide remains at 80% (to simulate sunset). Please note my setup is single halide, but it does come with moonlights which kick on just before the bulb dims to 0%.
