![]() As far as I remember, once you put the skimmer together (if it's apart), then all you have to do is raise or lower that vertical pipe. It will probably take a few tries, but after its broken in, you can raise it to make wetter skimmate or lower it to make thicker skimmate. I usually set it wet & then after a while, lower it a bit & see how well it skims.

![]() Just make sure the exiting branch of the T is above the water level and you should be fine, leave the adjoining 90 degree and its attached length of PVC.
As far as adjusting the skimmer, they've changed the RS models to include a twist/lock standpipe vs the original riser tube. Just twist the tube to raise the water level in the skimmer.
