causes are unknown exactly but clamdirect is a great place to do some research on treatments. Good ol' FW dip can take care of it.

I third the recommendation to visit clamsdirect.com.

Most often I hear of clams spawning when it gets to hot, but never pinched mantle.

How about some photos?
