the reef safe status of hermits has come under some fire lately. no conclusions have been made (that's the nature of this hobby eh?) but if any hermit is ref safe, it would be the scarlets.

imo, blue leg hermits are fine if the corals are not small frags and arent glued down... if your reef is a nano where everything is mini, then blue legs can wreak a bit of havoc i find.

Well my tank aint huge but it aint a nano it is 46. damn I might have a problom because I will have frags.

The only problem I've had with hermits is they try to steal food when I feed my lps

i have never had a problem with hermits they are fine IMO

both in my 44 and my 120

never had a problem with frags either,

thats like saying snail are not reef safe b/c they knock things over.
