Lee,
The stain is Minwax Bombay Mahogany. The stand is made of lamintaed pine over a 2X4/2X6 frame. One Divided, The tang seems to bo ok so far. He doesn't appear stressed and only had ick for a short time after I put him in the tank over a year ago. I think it's probably time to find him a new home though as he's almost doubled in size since I bought him.
