Default Boxing Day Sale

Hope to see some of you today at Big Al's.

I will probably go out around 13:00 to brave the traffic and crowds.

Will also be moving my refugium this morning with the help of my brother.

Gee... sounds like a to do list.

I was going to buy another friend for my clown fish as well after the last one took a trip down my overflow. Decided not to as I was concerned that they might fight or territory.

How are you two clowns doing Jon?

I popped in for a bucket o' salt and some food. Still looks like that SW dept is on its last legs - I guess this is its normal state?? Shabby corals, terminal-looking fishes... yuck. :?

Hope you guys did OK there, I couldn't stay long.

Happy Boxing Day, BTW!

I picked up Coral Beauty and some frozen food.

Gee Alan, according to my last post you should have been impressed with the way that BA has improved their setup.

For some reason or another they were cycling 4 of their tanks and had to cram all the fish into the others. You get that many fish in a tank and there is bound to be some conflict.

As it is my Coral Beauty is trying to stay away from my Yellow Tang. I may have to do some landscaping as all the fish seem to perfer just one side of the tank. :?

BA was interesting yesterday. I dont think I have ever seen there store look that bad. You would think they would want to create a postive image with the large amount of customers they will have over the next week.

Oh while I was there yesterday I asked a sales clerk about the clowns in the 2000+ gallon Angel aquarium. She said they were added to directly feed the angels but if they go eaten the didnt care. Whether you believe this to be good or bad I guess is up to you. I dont really think it matters all the much although I do feel sorry for the clowns, chances are they would have met a similar fate in the ocean.

Just some thoughts.

Angels eat clowns :?: :?: I somehow don't think so. I don't know of predatory Angels. However, as always I could be wrong.

Actually ..... not the angels, but there was some kind of grouper in there as well. Or was it a grouper? Darn, I do not remember. A grouper, or a snapper, or something like that.

At any rate, I beleive the clowns eventually did fulfill a feeder role (it may not have been intended as such). I'm a bit saddened by that ....

It is too bad the tank is still cloudy, but it will be a neat display when it clears up. I wish I could keep angels like that! Absolutely gorgeous fish.

They had some little queens .... sigh ... only $160 or so ..... man, I wish I had a big ol' fish tank just for fish.

I do wish they'd stop bringing in mandarins, if they're not going to feed/care for them properly while in the store. :x
