Argh you see theres a miss conception of us Brits
We also drink our beer cold its just we call it something else Cold fizzy beer like Molson is called LAGER, Chemical brewed stuff. The warm stuff i think you refer to has a generic name of beer but is actually ALE Made from hops and barley and seved at room temp. Gonna miss my pint of old theakstons Ale brewed by the local farmer in the village!

I doubt you'll need to use EH in the capital much or hear it in that matter ,however maybe you wanna practice this one ABOOT Also as for the local farm Brew ,we got no shortage of that here either  However what I do recomend ,If you are planning to do any drinking here in Canada ,you should Hit the Local Pub there for some practice before you get here . What they told you about canadians being beer drinkers is more like We usually only use Beer to chase our shooters down,so I guess that makes us Beer drinkers Welcome Home Man

More of a 16 year carefully nursed pure Scottish malt whisky drinker me.
beer/lager just gives me gas went to a spa hotel last week for a night with the wife tried an 18 year old from an old clan distillery $35.00CAD a shot  didint tell me that at 1am when i asked for it  Only found out when i paid the tab very hung over the next morning. Live and learn
