![]() I personally use the Ocean Runners as they are very quite and have plenty of jam.

I've narrowed it down so far to three: Taam Rio HF-14 Danner Mag 9.5 Pentair Quiet One 4000 Are there opinions on any of these? |

![]() I have used rio and mag for my return pumps personally, they are not that quite IMHO. Reefwerkz has quiet ones on both there systems the large pump is noisy but the smaller pump is silent. Hope this helps.

![]() Sedra and Eheim are more choices to consider, Eheim being on the higher end of both price and quality out of the two.

![]() I have had bad experience with the pentair. Mine is noisy and doesn't start everytime-I usualy have mess with it for a while to get it to start. The certain retailer where I bought it wasn't any help with warranty. I sent 3 emails to pentair with no response....won't buy thier product again. Just my experience though.

![]() I decided to go with the Mag 9.5. Let's just say that the Weipro 6000, while advertising itself as 1000gph, is not. Putting the 9.5 on that same setup, suddenly the overflow is getting swamped, and the water level in the display goes up 1/2". I think I should have saved a couple of bucks and gone for the 7!
The Danner Mag 9.5 is not a particularly quiet pump, but it does move some water. I bought it at Big Al's after price-matching to JL. |
