I have a Fluval 304 and a maxi-jet (hooked up to a wave thingy) already installed. My water flow I beleive is sufficient for my setup. I was just trying to polish up the sytem with the above method. Jim

For what you have in the tank you don't need a huge amount of flow,so yes what you have now should be good.Just make sure to clean up uneaten food and waste when you do a water change.I have no idea how to quiet down your overflow,but maybe ask in the reef forum.I'm sure someone has dealt with the same problem.
