Default New firmware 3.02!

As promised:
The new firmware & manual 3.02 is available here:
http://www.ghl-kl.de/Produkte/Aquari...LuxII_V302.zip
http://www.ghl-kl.de/Produkte/Aquari...LuxII_V302.pdf

The IP-address can be entered now directly on ProfiLux, please read chapter 3.15.16 Communication. And it is possible to change from ad-hoc to infrastructure-mode (only interesting for WLAN).

The attached photo shows entering an IP on the ProfiLux.

Very Nice Matthias!

This is a huge step in the right direction. Now it is much easier to connect to the Profilux from anywhere with an Internet connection. From what I gather all you need to do now is install Profilux Control on any computer (like at work) and you should be able to connect to your Profilux @ home. (so long as you have access to port:10001 traffic on both sides)

This is MUCH MUCH better.

Thanks for the feedback!

The connection over internet is no problem, too. I tried this here at home - it works absolutely reliable.
These are the steps to establish a connection from somewhere to the ProfiLux at home:
- You need a domainname for at home, like www.mydomain.com. You can obtain this at DynDNS for example
- Install ProfiLuxControl II on your "remote" PC (eg at work)
- Edit the connection-options -> Hostname is now NOT the IP-address of your ProfiLux (eg 192.168.0.169) but your domainname (eg www.mydomain.com). Under "Hostname" are IPs AND domainnames accepted!
- configure your router at home: incoming tcp-calls on port 10001 must be redirected to the IP of your ProfiLux (in this example 192.168.0.169)

Is anyone using V3.01 or above firmware with Digi plug bars via USB expansion?

yes, Michael.

Me & most of USA/CD customers.
And all customers worldwide with digital powerbars. (some may have still 3.00, others may have 3.02)
I think in sum about 300.

Just wondering if this unit can controll pumps that operate on AC? eg. SEIO's and Koralia's.

Also, what is the compatability between these and the Vortech?

Thanks,

Albert

Hi Matthias,

Can an IP-address be entered on the Profilux even if I don't have the LAN/WLAN card installed on my Profilux ?

I would like to try to connect using a D-Link Wireless USB adapter, that would be plugged into my RS232-to-USB adapter ?

Would this work ?

Thanks,
Ginzo

Hi
@Albert: Not all pumps can be dimmed by the reduction of the voltage (AC-side). It depends on the motor type, the pump-producer can give this information. If the pump is dimmable by reducing the mains voltage you will be able to control the pump with our new dimmable socket - coming soon.
Vortech: I can't promis this feature at the moment.
@Ginzo: That doesn't work. These USB-WLAN adapters are constructed for the PC-side, you can't connect it to ProfiLux. It's the same like connecting a USB-WLAN to a printer or other device - not possible.
