No, I think a 250 MH with 110 watt actinics would be plenty of light for a 24" tank. I went with 400 watts because originally I didn't want to use actinics, so I needed a bit more light. Now that I have them, I realize what I was missing. Actinics Rule!

So much for posting tommorrow, sorry.
The sump is a standard 25 gallon tank with baffles added. 30x12x16". Not much to look at but serves the purpose well. The stand as I said before is custom from Majestic. Fits 36x18" tanks, but is 40" tall. I used to have a 30" becket skimmer and it fit under the stand quite well. The canopy was built custom as well for added space. It is 14" tall (above the tank) and opens from the top and front for full access. For those not familiar with Majestic stands they are very well built, with 2x4 framing. They also use coat after coat of finish to ensure that they are water safe. thanks, Danny
