Maybe an air bubbler in the tank ... I really think there's an O2 issue here.

What else is on the controller that may have malfunctioned? This sounds like more than temperature to me also...

both my power heads slid down and there isnt much surface agitation...

I agree, get that water movement going and a fan blowing across the surface. Hope all will be well.

i've got no surface movement, and the friend who caused the overheating, won't come over and help (for those of you who know my situation)

craptaculous. friend doesn't sound very friendly. are you doing anything to keep the powerheads up? like a hang on clip orsomething? Id imagine it wouldn't be too hard if you have wire coat hangers or something.

he finally came by... the yellow tang was laying on the bottom under a rock, but we got a bunch of air going in now and he looks alot better. one fatality though, my coral beauty i've had for about a year we can't even get him out tonight, either..in a bad spot.

Hey I just tuned into your thread. I live in Calgary and if tonight you need to borrow some power heads or air pump and stone pm me. I really think its lack of 02 also.

thanks for the offer, i've got an airstone, and 3 power heads going now, all near the surface. it's all under control now.
