![]() I had a plug of favia with a little piece of capnella or the likes on the same plug. The capnella was very small, but it started to outgrow the favia, until the favia grew a polyp right next to the capnella. The capnella died almost overnight. Bit of a shame, since the capnella piece was about 1.5" long. It was only about 1/8" when I first got the plug.

![]() I have had problems with a cabbage leather (Lobophytum sp.) and a turbinaria in the same tank. The turbinaria refused to open the entire time the cabbage was in the tank, even when it was 3 1/2 feet away, as soon as I removed the cabbage the turbinaria opened up again. So it is possible to have problems but I think if you run carbon in the system and do regular water changes it can lesson the danger
