I've got a 90 with about 1100 GPH w/four foot head through the sump. I've been using a little giant sealed submersible fountain pump for a little over a year now. It has always worked great and there is no sign of wear whatsoever. It is made completely of ABS with absolutely no metal in contact with the water.

It's been great, and a steal at $110 bucks. Just have to have a syphon break on the pressure hose in case of power outage.

Sounds like you've worked out the GPH right. You don't want to go too low with the GPH, or the plumbing will want to suck too much air.
