I am thinking of something smaller, say loonie-sized, then I can superglue the clips that hold filter pipes onto the magnets.

probably going to have to custom build one. Wont be hard - 5minute epoxy and some lee valley rare earth magnets, maybe a shot coat of krylon to make em pretty after.

You can also just pick-up a small sheet of 1/8th" or slightly larger acryclic, and make a small 'box' for the magnets out of those. Then you could also attach whatever mounts you wanted to the magnets. And, you could make larger ones that have more magnets, etc... But theres also sealing them like everyone else suggested! Just a thought?

If I was to coat bare magnets I figure I would pour a layer of Weldon-40 into a plastic container/mould (doesn't bond to some plastics), then after it sets place the magnet on top and pour the second half of 40. Should make a cool smooth clear puck that is well sealed. Estimated build time is less then 1 beer.

Never thought of Weld-on, I've been planning a project to make tank mounted Frag Plugs using magnets, and I wasn't sure which adhesive to use. I'm thinking that'll do the trick, Thanks!
