What changes did you make to get it running how you want?

I get a cup full of dark wet skimmate about every 4 days, and it's been set and forget now. haven't touched it other than to empty it for about a month now. great unit i think. i run at 1.025

the biggest difference in it's performance came when i started replacing my carbon every two weeks instead of every month.

also i have an auto-top off system now. before, the fluctuations in the sump's water level would drive it crazy sometimes. i run it an inch higher than it's input tube.

also two times my little thermometer in the sump fell off the glass and got sucked into the skimmer. the slower flow messed it up and i had to soak the entire motor in a vinegar solution for 24 hours. now i've made sure i do that regularily every 2 months.

i called euroreef twice for help and they were great. they're the main reason i got it working properly eventually.
