![]() When I used to use filter material I used quilting material from the fabric store.
Never had a problem with it either.

![]() If it's 100% polyester I can't see why it would be bleached but to be on the safe side you could find the manufacturer and see if they have a web site or email so you could ask. I've used quilting from WalMart and never had an issue with it, a little goes a long way.
