Hi Jason

My systems net water volume is approx 300G. I have a Mixed Reef.
With a few soft corals being Colts, Toadstools and Cabbage, a very large Frogspon, Galaxy, Torch and a very large Candy Cane and about 25 SPS ranging from frags to colonies. I also have a very large population Green Star Polup.

I quit using UV ,Ozone & Phosphate when I started the ZEOvit System.

I will adjust my dosing of the start2 to 1.5 ml x 2 per day.

Tom

Trying to get started from scratch here in Calgary, but seems to be lacking in all the products, including reactors. This is my fear of starting with this system and not having the supplies when in need.

The only lacking product IS reactors...

Truth be told, you can get the system started up by putting the media in a large mesh bag in the sump.

A number of the ZEOvit products are best kept in the refrigerator and because they are live bacteria they have a life span of days if not refrigerated and a life span of months if refrigerated.
Once on the system you will develop your unique dosing regiments and will soon have an idea of how long your supplies will last.
This is expensive product and I would rather have the freshest product available when I buy rather than something that has been in the LFS for any length of time.
My LFS have been able to fill my orders within a week.

Aren't the reactors fairly simple in concept, though? Not much more than a large phosban reactor (in design) with something that lets you agitate/stir up the zeolites? Seems like it would be pretty easy to DIY....or just use a phosban reactor and shake it up every day.
