i built my sump/ refuge out of 1/4 inch and it ran me 150$ a sheet from industrial paints and plastics in Calgary. i just cut mine with a table saw with a triple chip blade in. deffintaley sand or plane your edges tho before bonding it turns out far nicer!

Ouch! I got a sheet of 4'x8' from another plastics place for like $60-80 (forgot), and they even cut it to the dimensions I specified for free. Damn I forgot the name... they're in Coquitlam.
