Default Skimmer Questions

I am about to start building on my 175g bowfront now, I am looking into skimmers as I slipped out of this hobby a few years ago Aqua-c and Euro reef skimmers dominated the forums as I saw it, as this tank will be in a main living room with the sump below it I am wondering what is the most quiet skimmer on the market? as well as the pump. If someone has combo of pump and skimmer for something of equal size let me know how quiet you find it, I would be very interested.

Thanks,

Wes

currently i use a H&S skimmer that is really quiet, you can hear the water trickling out of it that i could silence more if i really wanted. i have used an ASM g4 and i was floored how quiet this skimmer was. if you adjust the sponge on the water output right you could not even hear the water coming out. both of these skimmers i would say are very quiet. hope that helps
